THE FEMININE ASPECT.

WARM WRAPS WORN. On Friday and Saturday last the Hawke’s Bay Trotting Club held their annual meeting, this being always a very popular event with a great number of people. Bright radio music enlivened the intervals between the races, and the announcer who spoke in detail of the different races added very much to the general interest. Warm wraps, furs, and small, closely-fitting hats, with pretty tweeds and bright woven garments were chiefly worn, tor the weather was typically wintry. Mrs W. Macfarlane wore a becoming ensemble of Ocean blue tweed under her coat, with a hat of the same shading; Miss Dugleby, pretty softly woven wme woollen sum, with a black hat; Mrs A. E. Palmer, smartly cut coat of bright sapphire blue, with skunk fur culls and collar, and a blue hat; Mrs Roach, brown tween coat with a high brown fur collar, and brown hat to tone; Mrs Haldane, effective hat and ensemble of oak brown; Mrs Symes, brack face cloth coat trimmed with fur, and a black hat trimmed with panne velvet; Miss Jean Symes, parrot-green tweed ensemble with a musquash fur eoat and green hat; Miss Juan Landels, brown gabardine tailored coat, with a gay scarf, and brown hat; Miss Marie Stead, a tweed coat with brown fur collar, and a little brown beret; Mrs F. Fryer, a blue leather coat with blue velour hat of the same shade; Mrs Shadbolt Lido blue tweed suit, with a blue hat; Miss G. Hardy, a brown hat with gay quill, and a fur coat; Mrs A. Reid, becoming black ensemble with furs; Mrs Burton, smart English homespun tarlored suit with a brown henna hat of felt; Mrs Norman White, checked red and beige coat, with a beige hat; Miss Fox, blue cloth coat fur trimmed and a green hat; Mrs Rhodes, Donegal tweed coat in brown and beige, with a brown hat; Miss Burton, pretty tweed coat, and small brown hat; Mrs Ellison, black cloth coat, and a black hat trimmed with gold applique; Mrs Wedd, navy blue hat with a scarlet quill, and fur coat; Miss Gifford, pretty brown velour hat, and a brown musquash coat; Mrs Hull, brown cloth coat trimmed with skunk fur, and a brown hat; Miss Cleary, bright blue furtrimmed coat with a blue hat: Miss Murphy, black coat with- fur collar of skunk, and a black hat.
