Dealings on the tin market are temporarily suspended owing to the failure of Lewis Lazarus and Sons to meet their engagements. Negotiations are proceeding between the important tin interests with >< view to minimising the dislocation. The Australian Press Association understands that the failure of Lewis Lazarus and Sons, which has big tin interests, is due to Continents) clients fading to meet their differences. Rumours of some such event had been hanging over the tin market for some months. Competent authorities ai-e hopeful that now the extent of the trouble is known the position will improve.
