THEFT OF TRUST FUNDS
EX-SOLICITOR PLEADS GUILTY. By Telegraph—Press Association. Christchurch, June 7. Charles Firth Woodhead, aged 29, married, an ex-solicitor, pleaded guilty this morning to theft of trust funds totalling £5BO and was committed to the Supreme Court for sentence. Wit nesses for the Crown said that Woodhead admitted that moneys paid by clients had been used for other purposes. The thefts occurred in 1930 and 1931. Lately the accused had been acting as director of a radio station.
