WOMEN’S INSTITUTE

ONGAONGA BRANCH. At the monthly meeting of the Onga Onga Women’s Institute, Mrs E. S. Bibby presided over a good attendance of members. A paper written by Mrs J. Bibby on her travels in Scotland was read by two of the members, and proved most interesting. A ‘‘bring and buy” stall was the means of adding a few shillings to the institute funds.

Mesdames Bell and Russell were appointed delegates to attend the conference at Waipukurau on the 27th inst.

It was decided to hold a chrysanthemum show at the May meeting. A most enjoyable afternoon tea was served by the hostesses, Mesdames Bradley and Beachan.
