CONCERT AT SANATORIUM. From Our Own Correspondent. A concert party from Waipawa visited the Pukeora Sanatorium on Friday and entertained the patients and staff. An orchestra under the baton of Mr E. J. Maher played a number of selections, the Bev. H. Dyson and Mrs Dyson sang a duet, songs were contributed by Mrs Dyson, Messrs C. Woods and F. Adeane, and sketches by Messrs Rawlings and Wedde. The Rev. H. Dyson led the company in community singing. Mr R. Rust played the accompaniments. The second half of the programme consisted of a short sketch. "The Fourth Form at St. Vincent’s,” in which the parts were taken by Messrs Rawlings, Wedde and Dwight. BOWLS VISITORS. Perfect weather conditions prevailed for the closing of the bowling season. Amongst the visiters were rinks from St. Leonards, Waipukurau and Havelock, games resulting as under:— Head, Ross, Watson, Joll (Havelock), 23; J Walker, Fletcher, Minogue, Holt, 17. Richards, Williams, Burgess, Lourie (Waipukurau), 33; Dyson, Harker, Shackelford, Strang, 18. Mcßride, Keith, Hampton, Schofield (St. Leonards), 22; Wallace, Clark, Eagle, Critchley, 16. August, Grenside. Fraser, 20; Hill. King, Dailey, 19. After the play Mr Joll returned thanks on behalf of the visitors, and in acknowledging this Mr Holt expressed the hope that next season, when things settled down a bit, there would be more regular exchange of club visits Tea was dispensed by Mesdames Grenside nnd Edwards.
