Election for Harbour Board. There will be an election of one member to represent the Taradale town district and the Moeanee riding of the Hawke’s Bay county on tho Napier Harbour Board. Nominations will close with the returning officer, Mr W G. Jarvis, at the Taradale Town Board office, on Friday. April 29, and the election, if necessary, will be held on Wednesday, May 11, 1932.
At a special meeting of the Taradale School Committee, held last night, to consider designs in connection with a memorial to the children killed at the side school during the earthquake, n design submitted by Mr Skelton, monumental mason, of Carlyle street, Na pier, was selected from the three do signs submitted. The work will bo proceeded with immediately.
