NAPIER POLICE COURT
(Before Mr. A. E. Bedford, J.P.) TO-DAY’S PROCEEDINGS. A charge of attempting to obtain money by false pretences was preferred against Horace Itouson, aged 23. On the application of Detective-Ser-geant Fitzgibbon, the accused was remanded to appear again to-morrow week. Bail was allowed in self £6O and one surety of £6O. The full charge was that on September 25th last, at Napier, with intent to defraud, he did attempt to obtain from the Royal Insurance Co., Ltd., the sum of £6O by means of false pretences; namely, when making a claim on the above company for £6O on a motor cycle, he falsely represented that the cycle was accidently destroyed by ns falling over a cliff on the Ktijlvhka He (lenient road on September 2.3 While Instopped on lhe road to mend ii puittii re.
