DISCHARGE OPPOSED. UNTIL 10/- IN £ IS PAID. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Dec. 9. A meeting of creditors in the bank* rupt estate of Stanley Evans, builder) formerly of Lower Hutt and subsequently of Napier to-day decided that discharge be opposed until bankrupt paid ten shillings in the pound. The amount owing to unsecured creditors is £3788 13/5, and to secured creditors £11,795 10/8. A creditors’ committee was appointed three years ago, and bankrupt subsequently went into business at Napier in his wife’s name, his wife having capital of £3OO. Bankrupt blamed the depression and the lost value of his assets for his position.
