CHEERFUL MOOD
SYDNEY STOCK EXCHANGE. GENERAL RISE IN PRICES. (Received 9, 10.45 a.m.) Sydney, Dec. 9. The approach of the Federal elections found the Stock Exchange in a marked ly cheerful mood. There was a general rise iii prices, investors taking their cue from the result of the municipal elections. Steady gains in Australian consolidated securities to new high closing levels in the banks met with increased favour throughout the State.
