STEADMAN’S SUCCESSES. VICTORIAN CHAMPIONSHIPS. (Received 9, 10.15 a.m.) Melbourne, Nov. 9. Playing in the Victorian tennis championship, A- Stedman, New Zealand, was defeated by J. Hawyes, Victoria, in the singles championship 6—4, 6—4, 6—4. Stedman and A. Willard beat R. Fotheringham and L. Svhwartz 6—2, 6—l, 6—4 in (he doubles championship. Stedman and Miss Bellamy beat T. Robinson and Miss Anthony G—4, 4—6, 6—3, in the mixed championship.
