BUTLER NEARING HIS GOAL SEEN PASSING OVER SOURABAYA. TO BEAT RECORD MUST ARRIVE AT DARWIN BEFORE 6 P.M. TODAY. iUnited Press Association—By Cable • Copyright.; (Received 9, 2.15 p.m.) Sydney. November 9. The Vacuum Oil Co. advises that 'Butler was sighted passing over Sourabaya on his way to Koepang. No advice has been received of his arrival there, but his el-'-’ce is not alarming, owing to Koepang’s isolation. The Vacuum Oil Co., Ltd., Wellington telegraphs to the "Tribune” today as follows:
"Melbourne, 10.10 p.m., November 8: Butler left Sourabaya at 9.45 a.m. to-day for Bima; to-morrow Koepang and Darwin.
"Melbourne., 10.20 a.m., November 8: Butler reached'Batavia at 6 p.m. yesterday, leaving early to-day for Sourabaya, hoping to reach Koepang to-night. Butler and mrchine in perfect order. To boat the record, Butler must arrive at Darwin before 6 p.m. on Monday.”
