THE ONLY SOLUTION
NON-PARTY GOVERNMENT WITH LANG EXCLUDED. MR. BAVIN’S SUGGESTION. [United Press Association—By CableCopyright.] (Received 21, 11.15 a.m.) Sydney, Aug. 21. In a speech at Cronulla, Mr. Bavin, Leader of the N.B.W. Opposition, advocated the formation of a nonparty government from all parties of the House to solve the State’s financial and industrial problems. Mr. Bavin said he was prepared to stand aside or take any position allotted him, and stipulated that the Premier, Mr. Lang, must not be allowed to be in such a Government. The position, he asserted, was absolutely critical. “It is unfortunately true that no Government of which Mr. Lang was a member can command the confidence either of this community, or of the Loan Council, or of the outside world."
