A FINAL EVENING

OF A DANCING CLASS.

A pleasant evening n-as spent at the Barrie Studio on Thursday evening last, when Misses Grantham arid Patston held their term final evening for their class for High School and other pupils. The studio looked very attractive witli a log fire burning on the open hearth, and lovely bowls of freesias and liuaria about the room, and the pupils and some of their friends thoroughly enjoyed dancing to music from a gramophone. Before supper there was a fox-trot competition, which was won by Miss C. Shewan and E. Fritchley. Supper was served in tho diningroom, the decorations there being of brightly coloured ranunculus. Towards the end of the evening a pupil, Master Fear, took a flashlight photograph ot the party, which caused amusement and interest. Miss Grantham wore an attractive frock of midnight blue moire, made in a becoming style, with a closefitting bodice and long flared skirt. Silver shoos were worn. Miss Patston was in deep blue panne velvet, nnd a pretty bridge coat in dcepei tone, and gold shoes. Others present included: Misses Fritchley, B. Burton, K. Wills. Shewan, Brown and N. Symonds. The boys were I). Warwick, S. Coles, R. Vesty, L. Webb, H. Ribbands, Fear, Gilby (2), J. Tomlinson, E. Fritchley, and many more.
