The football match is evoking great interest, and it is confidently anticipated that the attendance will aggregate 10,000. The British team practised yesterday, all the members showing great proficiency. After a hard overnight frost, excellent weather conditions are assured. The ground is in excellent condition, and everything points to an interesting game. IRVINE UNABLE TO PLAY IN TEST. (Per Press Association.] Carterton, June 28. Owing to injuries, W. Irvine (Wairarapa) will be unable to play in the second Test against the British team at Christchurch next Saturday. His place will be taken by J. Hore (Otago). WAIRARAPA v. HAWKE’S BAY MATCH.
