CHARITABLE BEQUESTS

RECENT AUCKLAND WILLS. Generous bequests to a number of institutions, principally for the benefit of soldiers and sailors, are made under the will of Miss Minnie Elizabeth Simmonds, of Thames, whose death occurred on June 6. A sum of £4OO is left to St. Dunstan’s Hostel for Blind Soldiers, London ; £4OO for the assistance of the wounded and disabled soldiers of New Zealand; and £lOO for the wounded ■sailors of the British Empire. To Dr. Baruardo’s Homes, Miss Simmonds has bequeathed £300; to the Royal Life Boat Institution of England, £1U(); to the Auckland Young Women’s Christian Association, £100; to the Auckland Young Men’s Christian Association. £100; to the Thames Hospital. £100; and to tho M Soldiers’ Memorial fund. £5O. L-.s Caroline Fitzpatrick, of Epsom. who died on May 17, bequeathed £lOO to the Little Sisters of the I’oor.

Sums of £lO have been left to the Methodist Church, Coromandel, and the Coromandel Public Hospital, in terms of the will of the late Mr Daniel Parker, retired photographer, of Coromandel,. who died on November 21 last.
