A message Horn Havana, Cuba, states that the giant steel tube witu which Proipssor Georges Claude, a trench scientist, planned to endeavour to harness the Guif Stream for electrical energy collapsed and fell into the ocean when the steel cables snapped like threads. I The scientist saw the result of three months’ hard labour and infinite pains demolished. American capital totalling 160,000,000 dollars was invested in the project.
