U.S, Hard Court Title: Lord Aberdeale (Scotland) won the U.S. national hard court tennis championship on Friday, defeating Francis Frazier (Boston), 6—3, 6—l, 7—5, taking the title abroad for the first time since the days of Jay Gould.

College For Police: A scheme has been drawn up by the Rt. Hon. J. R. dynes, Home Secretary, and adopted in principle by the Police Council, providing for the establishment of a police college. It is proposed that men of outstanding ability and necessary qualificatins shall attend a two years’ course at such college and so fit themselves for the highest posts in the police service.
