The “Morning Post” states: “We are pleasantly surprised at the allound strength of the Rugby team visiting Australia and New Zealand, though it is a little disappointing that Scotland is so poorly represented The colonials would have loved to see MacPherson, lan Smith and Spearhead in action. But in Scotland the authorities are a law to themselves in Rugby football. The only weak point in Baxter’s band of brothers is the selection of the scrum half-back.”
