At the Stadium in a hard fight -Jack Haines (11.2}), middleweight champion of Australia, defeated Ted Monson (11.1|), former champion, on points in fourteen rounds. At Newcastle Jimmy Pearce (10.111) defeated the Anie an, Billy Harms (11.0) by a narrow margin in fifteen rounds.
