QUEEN ELECTION VOTING. ACTUAL FIGURES SHOWN. In our advertising columns to-day will be found details of the actual voting recorded to date in connection with the Queen election. It will be noticed that the Sports Queen has made a strong bid lor supremacy, and again occupied first place, with ’lie Workers’ second and Te Awa third. The votes will now be shown each day until voting closes pn Saturday night 21st inst., at 11 o'clock. Patrons are asked to note that the first prize iu the art union is now £lOO of alluvial gold, in addition to the Maori chief in soap. A reminder is given of the Napier Citizens’ Band procession and openair concert to-morrow night, starting from Clivo Square at 7.30 o’clock, when represenatives of all Queen organisations are asked to attend and take part.

WHAT IS ON? Tn our advertising columns will be found a list of numerous activities showing the energy and organisation that is being displayed by the different organising bodies. The Workers announce a euchre tourney for to-night at the Westsho.e Hall. The tourney will be followed by a light supper and dance. A special ’bug leaves Clive Square at 7.15 and the Port terry sails at 7.30, returning at 12.15. The Workers also announce a euchre tourney for next Saturday night at the Coronation Hall, Port Ahuriri. Good prizes and good supper are promised and aggregate prizes will also be awarded for the best scores at last Saturday’s and this coming function.

The Y.M.C.A. remind all supporters of the concert extraordinary to be presented to-night in the Lounge hy the Napier Musical Society, at 8 o’clock.

St. Patrick’s queen (Miss Kate Mullany) has got a lot of talent to introduce to the Clive people to-night at the Public Hall at 8 sharp. St. Patrick’s ladles’ committee have also arranged a garden fete for next Friday and Saturday at St. Patrick’s schoolgrounds, Station street, commencing at 2 p.m. on the Friday and all day on Saturday. If wet the function will be held upstairs in the Foresters’ Hall. The Cricketers inform all that on Saturday next at 8 p.m. in the Lyric Hall opposite new P.O. they will hold a “500” tourney. Good prizes are offered. The Sports committee advise that to-night a special meeting will be held at the headquarters, above Dockery’s, when all progress reports are required. The Sports also announce special “shop” days for Friday and Saturday next in shop lately occupied by E. D. Berry. Emerson street. Prizes are being awarded for best fruit cake, best butter sponge and best plain sponge. Te Awa remind all supporters of the euchre, partv and dance to-night at 7.45 in the Te Awa School. Good prizes and a light supper are provided.

The Basketball queen committee invite everybody to attend at the Marine Parade, near the Courthouse, next Saturday afternoon at 3 shorn when two teams composed of HR reps, will play a game m the roadway. All old boys and old girls and present boys and girls of the Napier Technical College are advised that a dance will be held in the Tech, gymnasium next Saturday night at 8 o’clock. A real good time is being provided.
