“THE SUNSHINE GIRL”
BRILLIANT PERFORMANCE. IN AID OF HASTINGS HIGH SCHOOL. On Friday. December 6, the Napier Operatic Society are very Snerously assisting the funds of the astings High School League by putting on the musical comedy “The Sunshine Girl” in the Municipal Theatre, Hastings. This is the first time for nine years that this talented amateur company has played in Hastings, and they are coming here at considerable inconvenience and immediately following their four night’s season in Napier. The League executive earnestly asks the public to assist them to make the night a suceess and help to get a bumper house. The performance is of a very high order, and it is assured that patrons will get their full money’s worth. It is pertinent perhaps to remark that the League has, since its inception in 1923. been instrumental in providing no less a sum than £6OO towards the eoninment of the Hastings High School and the beautifying of the grounds; and it may also be pointed out that the advancement and improvement of the Hastings High School, which is fast becoming one of the Dominion’s leading secondary schools, must redound to the credit and advantage of this town.
