MY VISIT TO THE SHOW
Dear Chief Kiwi, —I thought you would like to hear about my very enjoyable day at the Show held last Thursday. It was seven o’clock when I awoke on the morning of the show, and, jumping out of bed I looked out of the window. To my joy I found that the sun was shining, and that there wasn’t a cloud in the sky. Quick ly I dressed, and went out into the kitchen. Soon after, mother got up, and cut some sandwiches and put them in a bag. She also cut up come cake and put it in another bag. At halfpast seven, after having my break fast, I went to the Show grounds in a ’bus. On arriving, I went through the sited where the dogs were and continued my way through another shed where many of the stalls were. I then went to have a look at the cars and machinery. Here I stayed till midday, when I went under the trees and had my lunch.. I spent the ulteruoon visiting various side shows and stalls and watching the jumping. At five fifty I made for home tired, but happy.
