A PICNIC AT TUKI TUKI

Dear Chief Kiwi, —Thank you very much for the certificates you awarded me. On Show, Day, as we did not go to the Show, my sister and I decided to have a picnic at the Tuki Tuki. We took some sausages, some potatoes, and a frying-pan. We could not start until about half-past ten, and arrived about eleven o’clock. The first thing we did when we arrived, was to collect some wood, and find a suitable place in which to light our fire. After lunch we put on our bathing costumes and decided to have a swim. Wo felt the water, but thought it too cold, so we went to a sandbank and read books. When we were tired of reading we went for a swim. The water was Very cold, so we just went in and out again quickly. We lay in the sun until we were dry, and then had s< me afternoon tea. We went home, and the same night we got a bad fold, so my dip in the liter was. not worth while having. 'Well, Chief Kiwi, 1 must close now wth love to all. — lied Certificate tn Iris While, ago 1?; yare, .Simla Avenue, Havelock Nurih.
