THRILLING RESCUE
ACCURATE ROCKET-LINE THROW.
(United Press Association—By CableCopyright.) (Received 13, 10.25 a.m.) London, Nov. 12.
A thrilling rescue by means of a lifeline was accomplished early this morning by the Newhaven coastguards. The Italian 3870 ton ship Nimbo ran aground in a heavy gale between Brighton and Newhaven. She was seriously holed and tremendous seas prevented the lifeboat approaching. The coastguards fired a rocket line and found their mark the first time. Twenty-one of the crew were brought ashore by breeches buoys; the captain and eight of the crew are remaining aboard.
