ALLEY BEATS VANCE. CRUCIFIX HOLD AGAIN. Wellington, Nov. 12. In a most exciting wrestling contest Tom Alley (13st.) beat Farmer Vance (12.3) in the fifth round. Vance in the second round secured a crucifix hold on Alley, which resulted in his being awarded a fall. In the fifth round Alley got in three rabbit punches and then spun Vance through the air, throwing him heavily. Vance was carried to .his corner and was unable to proceed, the towel being thrown in when the gong sounded for the sixth round. The rabbit punch is allowed, but most of the crowd hooted Alley. Tho contest was the best seen here. PESEK TO MEET WALKER IN AUCKLAND. Auckland, Nov. 12. The New Zealand Wrestling Association hns received advice from John Pesek. who claims tho heavy-weight championship of the world, that he will meet George Walker, heavyweight champion of Canada, in Auckland next Monday night. Pesek is travelling from Sydney to Vancouver by the Aorangi, which is due in Auckland on Monday morning.
