THE WEST COAST TROUBLE
GREY VALLEY UNION SUPPORTS STRIKE PROPOSAL. (Per Press Association.) Greymouth, Nov. 12. The Grey Valley Union includes the Dobson and Wallsend mines. To-day’s voting was practically unanimous in favour of a strike in support of Blackball. The State Mines Union decided not to strike but that work would not be resumed to-morrow morning pending hearing the result of the voting by other Coast unions. It is reported locally that the Denniston, Millerton and Stockton miners supported the strike proposal. It is now expected that the State miners will fall in line with the other unions.
