TO-DAY’S PLAY. i The Hawke's Bay Lawn Tennis Club's championships, which were held up on Easter Monday owing to rain, wore resumed to-day on court* aT Sidey Hall and those used by St. Patrick’s Tennis Club. Results: Men’s Championship Singles. Fourth Round: Sharpe beat Stoddart, 6—l, 6—3. Semi-finals: Averill beat Sharpe, 2—6, 6—o, 6—3; Lowrv beat Person, 4—6. 6—3. 6—2. Ladies' Championship Singles. Third Round: Miss Marjorie Macfarlane beat Mrs. Cotterill, 6 —o, 6—5. Semi-finals: Miss Macfarlane beat Mrs. Mawson. 6—3, 6—2; Miss Marion Macfarlane won by default. Men’s Championship Doubles. Third Round: Milbum and Lowry, beat Cooper and Pope, 6—5, 6—3. Ladies’ Championship Doubles. Finals: Mrs. Gardiner and Miss Macfarlane won by default.
