A BIRTHDAY PARTY
A very happy birthday party was that given by Mrs J. C. Findlay, for her daughter Jean, last Monday. Games were played at Airs Findlay’s residence, and gramophone records were much enjoyed- Later Mr Findlay drove the whole party up to Mrs Bark’s tea rooms, where a most delicious party tea was set. There was a birthday cake with 9 candles, and paper hats, surprise packets, and bon-bons for everyone. After tea the children were conveyed back to Mrs Findlay’s, and then games and fun went on till 8 o’clock came, and farewells ended the delightful party. Some of those present were:—Mrs L. M. Willis, Jessie Coles, Peggy Rae, Betty Roberts, Betty Wilson, Ngaire Hodgson,, Honor Donovan, Una and Joyce Loach, and Mary Redgrave.
