JUBILEE DEAIONSTRATION. (Per Press association.! Hokitika, Feb. 28. The New Zealand Fire Brigade’s jubilee demonstration commenced this morning in perfect, weather, 63 teams Competing. There was excellent waer pressure and other arrangemets. At the midday adjournment the following were the leading teams in the various events:— One-man coupling, Gilbert Afemorial (16 teams having run.) —Addington Railway, 65 4-5 secs (three v'nalties) 68 4-5 secs; Gore 74 secs. Two-men hose and standpipe event (17 teams having run): Petone 37 2-5 secs, Greymouth and Pukckohe 43 3-5 secs each, equal. Five-men hose, reel and ladder event (modern), eleven teams having run): Hawera 41 1-5 secs, Te Kuiti and Addington Railway each 45 secs.
