An appeal for funds was made to the members of the Hastings Borough Council last evening by the Boy Scouts Association, who require money to send the' Hawke's Bay Contingent of Boy Scouts to the International Jamboree in England. No doubt the City Fathers will give asistanee to the lads. The death is announced of Mr. Arthur Ernest Lowe, orchardist, Pakowhai road, husband of Mrs. E. L. Lowe, which took place at the Napier Hospital this morning. The news of his death will be learnt with .egret and the sympathy of.all who know hnn will go out t> the family.
