SWIMMING
HASTINGS HIGH SCHOOL SPORTS. ONE RECORD ALREADY ESTABLISHED. The annual swimming sports of the Hastings High School were conducted in the Maddison Baths this afternoon. There was at-large attendance of spectations, including a good number of parents. Entries for the various events were numerous, necessitating many heats. Conditions for the contests were ideal and the times recorded were quite up to the usual standard. Boys’ events only were S tLo spectators were kept interested by the house competitions. These were keenly contested. At the time of going to press one record had been established and the positions of the houses were as follow:—Blue 22 points, Green 18pts, Purple spts.
