Some 40 Maoris left Hastings this morning by the mail train, bound for Ratana, to attend a sports meeting.
“From the short and cursory look I have had this morning, I must say that this renovated building is ve.'v much improved on the one before. V hope that the new conditions will provide added convenience to the whole business of the Court, and I feel sure that the new order will allow for a more expeditious working of the Court’s business,” stated His Worship, Mr. A. M. Mowlem, S.M., at the opening of the sitting of the Magistrate’s Court in Hastings this morning when the first magisterial sitting of the year was held.
