Vanessa won the second heat of the inter-State yacht race for the Sayonara Cup, sailed yesterday outside the Heads, ten miles to leeward and return. The rating allowance (not a handicap) which Vanessa received from the Victorian Enn-na-Mnra was 14 minutes 34 seconds. Yesterday’s race was hold in a 25-mile per hour south-easterly breeze and a moderate sea. Vasessa, with her rating allowance, won by 15 minutes 24 seconds. CORNWELL CUI’.
