FOR HAWKE’S BAY DISTRICT ISSUED DAILY BY MR K K WRAQGE, F.R.M.S. EXCLUSIVE TO “TRIBUNE.” [By Telegraph—Special to the “Tribuno.] Auckland, Sept. 4. Forecast for 24 hours from 9 a.m. to-day, covering the area between Wairoa, Te Aute, and the ranges inland:—

The tropical depression cited in yesterday’s report has made a considerable degree of southing, and now operates over the major portion of the Dominion. The Antarctic factors have been pushed south, and an anticyclone is advancing from the central and southern Tasman Bea. Expect mild weather, but conditions generally will be unsettled and showery, and some heavy falls at times should result. A curious feature in this trough of low pressure will be intervals of bright or clearing sky. Winds, moderate at first, from east, north-east and north-west, but shortly veering through west to south, and in- - creasing from strong to gale force. Sea rough, swell to moderating, rising again later. DOMINION METEOROLOGIST’S FORECAST. The Dominion Meteorologist telographs as follows for 24 hours from 9 a.m. this day:—The indications are for southerly winds moderate to strong and veering by west to north freshening. Scattered showers but tbo wer.tiier improving temporarily. Later appears likely to be cloudy and unsettled with rain following. Tho barometer rising but after about sixteen hours falling.
