Boxing Association has decided that Auckland shall be represented in all the weights at the New Zealand amateur boxing championships in Auckland on August 23, 24 and 25. The following are the representatives:— Flyweight: F, E. Pearcey, Auckland (champion 1927-28). Bantam-weight; L. Davies, South Auckland (champion and Auckland champion). Feather-weight: J. Leslie (Auckland champion). Light-weight: A. Jones (Auckland champion). Welter-weight: J. G. Forsyth (Auckland champion). Middle-weight: W. Pitcher (Auckland champion). Light heavy-weight: T. Mullins (Auckland champion). Heavy-weight: P. McCarthy (Auckland champion 1927-28. and light heavy-weight champion 1928). It is possible that Lesli© may not be able to make the feather-weight limit, and in that event the association will decide on a substitute.
