FOR HAWKE’S BAY DISTRICT ISSUED DAILY BY MR K K, WRACCE, F R.MJ. EXCLUSIVE TO “TRIBUNE.*! [By Telegraph—Special to the “Tribune.] Hamilton, Aug. 8. The anticyclone has now increased in potential, its nucleus being southwest from Christchurch. The tropical depression is still to the north-west of the Dominion, while Antarctic influences are now practically negative. There remains, however, a slight tendency for occasidnal showers, but mostly fair to fine weather with some areas of cloud should obtain. Cold night temperatures and morning mist in the low areas are probable. Winds chiefly between south-west and southeast. Sea moderating. DOMINION METEOROLOGIST’S FORECAST. The Dominion Meteorologist telegraphs as follows for 24 hours from 9 a.m. this day:—Ths indications are for south-easterly winds, decreasing. Weather probably cold and changeable at times, but improving. The barometer little movement.
