NEW EXPLOSIVE
MORE DEADLY THAN T.N.T. RADIUM AS NEW INGREDIENT. [United Press Assn.—By CableCopyright.) [Australian ano N.Z Press Assn.) (Received 28. 8 45 a.m.) New York, May 27. A message on Friday from Pasadena states that a new explosive, of which radium is an important ingredient. was reported by the military professors of the California Institute of Technology to have shown itself to be 30 per cent, more powerful than T.N.T (Tri Nitro Toluene) and 15 per cent, more effective than commercial dvnamite, in official tests conducted to-day. The inventor is Captain Zimmer, of Los Angeles
