CONCRETE ROAD

EXTENSION TO HASTINGS BOUNDARY. COUNTY COUNCIL’S DECISION. The Hastings Borough Council today inquired if the Hawke’s Bay County Council intended to extend its concrete road along Karamu road to join the hot-mix surface road in the borough. Mr. T. E. Crosse: We can reply in the affirmative, but we must point out that the hot mix does not come within seven chains of the boundary. The chairman: We hope that the seven chains will be done before our concrete gets there. (Laughter.) It was agreed to inform the Borough Council that the concrete would extend to the borough boundary.
