murTwai beach meetjnc. WILSON AGAIN WINS GOLD CUPAuckland, Feb. 5 Many motor cars w.iich had been driven to Muriwai Beach acts did not arrive back in Auckland until after midnight. The races passed off without a hitch. The chief event, the New Zealand Motor Chip, was again won by R. B. Wilson, of Auckland, in his Stutz, and the winner takes the cup for good, having won it three successive years Hamilton, of Fairlie, was second in a Sunbeam, and Nattrass third in a Mercer. The time was 55mins. 54secs. The New Zealand Light Car Cup was won by Russell Taylor of Australia, in a Bugatti eight, Bauchop, of Wellington, being second in a Parry Thomas, and Cutten, of Auckland,’ third in a Bugatti. The open sprint handicap was won by Butter, in a Miller Special, and he also won the open handicap. Curlett’s Chrysler annexed the allcomers’ handicap, and Hoyes Motor Limited’s Buick took the touring car handicap.
