PROFESSIONAL CYCLING
RAMBLERS’ CLUB RACE. HANDICAPS FOB 36 MILES. Last Wednesday the Bamblers’ Cycling Club held a race which resulted as follows: —Hunter (scr) 1, Beattie (125 secs 2, 8. Allen (70secs) 3. Time, 35 minutes. The finish was an excellent one. the scratch man winning by a machine length.
Next Wednesday at 2.30 p.m. the elub proposes to hold a 36 mile race, the route to be from Stortford Lodge round Pakowai and Fernhill back to the Lodge thence round Longlands, Bridge Pa, Hoy’s Hill and finish at Stortford Lodge. For this event the following handicaps have been dedared:---.!. Hunter scr, H. Henderson 1 minute, W. G. Simm'onds3, H. Brinson 5 G - . Symons 6, S. Allen 6, L. Gallie! 6n C. Curtis 7, L. Sykes 7, P. Brewer 7 J. Beattie 8, A. Lambert 8, E. Long 9, S. Britten 10, P. Cullinan 15.
