STRIKES IN SYDNEY
HITCH IN BRIDGE SETTLEMENT.
QUARRY CRANE DRIVERS RESUME.
Sydney, Aug. 26. A hitch has occurred in tho settlement of the harbour bridge dispute, the men rejecting the terms and the strike continues
The crane drivers at the Moruya quarries have effected a settlement of their dispute and will resume work on Monday. Tho terms of settlement of the dispute of the city railway have to be ratified bv the men who meet this mftrning for that purpose. The terms include that the men resume work to-day, no discrimination in reengagement, the men to be employed on their former jobs. The Industrial Commissioner held that the men, by absenting themselves, legally put themselves out of employment. A stumbling block to settlement may be the question of payment for ilhe days lost.
