SOCCER FOOTBALL.
SCHOOLBOYS’ GAMES.
ALLEGED INTERFERENCE BY
Wellington, Aug. 26,
Strong comment was made at the meeting of the Council of the New Zealand Football Association last night, when a report was received from the Poverty Bay Association stating that schoolboys’ Soccer was being interfered with by the master of one of the schools.
Mr. Varney mentioned that Otago had asked the Council to take up the same matter some time ago, but it had been held over.
Members expresesd indignation at the action of the Gisborne master, and were of the opinion that the Council now had a case to take before the education authorities. It was decided that Messrs. Varney and Renai interview the Director of Education.
