SOCIAL GATHERINGS
DANCE AT KAHURANAKI
A community dance was held in the Tarui woolshed, Kahuranaki. last evening, the hostesses for the evening being Mesdames G. McKeesick and R. Nimon, and Miss Ruby McKeesick Mr. Jim McKeesick was M.C. Mucn of the success of the evening was due to the music supplied by some of the local visiting musicians. The follow ing played for the dances: Mrs C Briasco. Mrs Nimon the Misses Cameron, Beachem, McKeesick. and Messrs Britten. McKeesick. and Warren. A violin solo by Mrs C. Briasco accompanied by Mr C Briasco on the piano, was greatly appreciated. A spot waltz competition was won hr Mr and Mrs Dick Nimon The committee desires to thank Mr G Franklin for the use of the piano
