AUCKLAND SESSIONS Auckland. August 22. In the Supreme Court. Mr Justice Herdman sentenced Thomas Dawson Smith, aged 62. to three months’ imprisonment for bigamy, having married a second wife in New Zea. ’.and in 1924, whiie his first wife was still alive in England. The case, which possessed peculiar features, was told in the Lower Court on August 1. William Neale, who nleaded guilty to seven charges of theft from the Public Works Department, was given reformative detention not exceeding twelve months.
