Wing-forward: S. Palmer (Napier H. 5.0.8.). ' A. Greig (Napier H. 5.0.8.) A. Honeybun (Hastings H. 5.0.8.) Lock: L. Trenwith (T.C.0.8.). Sides: M. McGiegor (T.C.0.8.), N. Roach (Hastings). As a curtain-raiser to the junior representative game a match will be played between the Has Beens and the Referees. The Referees’ representatives were chosen last evening as follows:— Full-back: N. A. McKenzie. Three-quarters: Phillips, Bishop,
Five-eighths: Henry, Lonergan. Wing-forward: Batchelor. Forwards: Berry, Collins, Biggs, Mcßryde, Jago, Miller, Croft. Emergencies: S Dean (provided his residential qualifications are in order), E. H. Wylie. Ball boy: E. Reade. Stretchers: AV. Forest, J. Mullaney. k Umpires’ E. H. Dickinson and A. Stratford. Referee: C. Minnett.
H.B. TOURING TEAM. The Hawke’s Bay touring team, which plays Wanganui to-morrow and Auckland on Saturday, left for the former town this morning. As several chosen players were not able to make the trip, alterations had to be made and the team is as follows :— Backs: Seal, Huxtable, Barclay (captain), Grenside. Corkill, Te Ngaio, Edwards, Anstis. Fo wards: Single, Tankard, Wilson, Steere, Campbell, J. Gemmell, Simon, Heffernan, Rolls. Extra men will be sent up to Auckland for the match there. S. Gemmell, who injured his shoulder in the Maori v. Otago match on Saturday, is expected to be incapacitated for the season.
