BEST AUSTRALIAN LAMB
SOLD AS CANTERBURY. LABELS CHANGED FOB ADDITIONAL 2nd. (Received 23, 11.25 a.m.) Sydney, Aug. 23. Giving evidence before the Royal Commission appointed to inquire into the affairs of the Amalgamated Freezing Company, a witness, asked to account for the difference in price between Australian and New Zealand lambs, replied that the best Australian lamb was never sold as such but sold as NeiV Zealand, the wraps and labels being changed to bring 2d more as Canterbury lamb.
