With the lower part of the face and throat apparently eaten away, a body, supposed to bo that of an infant only a few days old, was found on the river bank yesterday, opposite Dallington Terrace, Christchurch. The body appeared to have been car lied to the spot in a paper narcel. A light cloth covered the trunk, only the face and neck being exposed.
