TWYFORD.
(Own Correspondent.) Although the weather was anvthing but inviting, a large number of people attended the fortnightly euchre party and dance held in the School on Friday evening. The function, as usual, was a great success The results of the card olaving were most interesting, three gentlemen playing off for the first prize and five cutting for the consolation prize. These were finally won fey Messrs W. Tavlor and Arnott respectively. The ladies’ orize was won by Miss Mercer, and the consolation orize. after having been cut for by three ladies, was awarded to Mrs Lynch. While cards were in prograss dancing was indulged in bv non-players in the other room. Special thanks are due to those ladies and gentlemen who so kindlv contributed the music for the dancing. During the evening the ladies held a meeting for the purpose of arranging for a children’s fancy dress dance. It was decided to hold this special function on Friday. September 16th. The final euchre nartv and dance will be held on September 30th. when, in addition to the usual prizes, the points prize will be Presented. The committee hone that the people will attend in. large numbers and make these last two gatherings two tremendous successes
