DEBENTURES READY FOR SALE.

A meeting of the Hawke’s Bay Radio Society was held in Hastings last night, the Rev. F. A. Bennett presiding over an attendance which was rather small owing to the bad weather.

Several important resolutions regarding howling valves, etc., were leiened to the committee to make a recommendation.

A letter was received from the Wellington Radio Society, stating that a conference of the Dominion Listeners’ League would be held in Wellington about the middle of September.—lt was decided to ask Mr A. S. Tonkin to represent the local society at the conference. The chairman reported that the debentures Were now ready for aale in connection 'with the raising of funds for the local transmitting station, and several members took books for sale. It is hoped that in a couple of weeks’ time the society will be in a position to know just where it stands in regard to funds for the station.

Mr. D. Rees was present at the meeting and answered a number of interesting questions regarding radio.

The evening terminated with half an hour’s reception of various stations on a set kindly operated by Mr. F. Hawley.
