TAKAPAU.
(Own Correspondent.) A meeting of the Takapau Advancement Association was held on Mondav evening. Present: —Messrs N. M. Paulsen (chairman). W. Cuthbertson (lion, secretary). J W, Cato. J. Caughley, J, A. Grant, A H. Saunders, — Latimer. —. Mulholland-. F. A Thompson J A. Norrie, Revj. H Blathwavt. Father Devlin, and A. E, Hunt. The chairman reported on the nroposed new road at Marakeke, which on account of excessive cost could not be gone on with. Mr Cuthbertson outlined the proposals for improvements, concrete paths, etc., at the cemetery, and it was decided to leave the matter in the hands of the chairman and Messrs Cuhhertson and Fraser. Mr Cutbebrtson. as one of the Public Hall trustees, with the consent of the ro-trustees. put the financial state of the hall before the meeting. This was appreciated and cleared up what had been previously misunderstood In reference to tariff and other matters. The Rev. H. Blathwavt proposed that the IVaipawa County Council be written to asking for permission io plant two rows of trees from the v ublic Hall to Blair’s corner
